?? Who are Stormcraft Studios?
Stormcraft Studio's logo may be a reference to the Nordic roots of its founding members, yet the team is actually based at the other end of the world in Durban, South Africa. The studio was set up in 2016 by a bunch of veterans, many of whom worked on some of the biggest blockbusters in the business such as Mega Moolah, Jurassic Park, Immortal Romance, Thunderstruck, and the first-ever branded slot Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. As such, Stormcraft possesses plenty of experience when it comes to slot design. Since 2018, the team has been dedicated to creating games across a variety of platforms for Microgaming on an exclusive basis.
The partnership has seen the up and coming studio make use of iconic Microgaming characters such as Jungle Jim and Agent Jane Blonde. It also allows Stormcraft to make use of classic mechanics like Rolling Reels in their games, as well as develop their own extras like their signature side bet feature Win Booster. Stormcraft's first official slot was the steampunk-themed Fortunium, which proved popular enough to be upgraded and included on Microgaming's infamous Mega Moolah network. Most studios claim to have a wealth of experience, but few can compete with Stormcraft Studio's executive producer Terence Igesund who designed the first online slot game back in 1996.
